Employee in the spotlight
Once every two months Agro de Arend introduces one of its employees. Who is behind Agro de Arend? In this edition: Mariska van Hattem, administrative assistant.
1. Who am I?
My name is Mariska van Hattem, 38 years old. I was born in Ochten and I live in Valburg. I have a 15-year-old son who goes to the fourth grade VWO after the summer. I joined Agro de Arend at the end of January, where I work three days a week. The other two days I am self-employed as a freelance administrator.
2. What is your responsibility within Agro de Arend?
Within Agro de Arend, I support our financial controller with administrative tasks. As an example: debtor and creditor management, entering purchase orders, invoicing, making reports and all kinds of other administrative work.
3. What do you like most about this sector?
This sector is new to me. After my MEAO I started working in the meat processing sector. In addition to my job at Agro de Arend, I am still working for two days in the meat industry. Although the sectors have much in common in terms of trade with foreign countries, there are many new things to learn. That is the challenge for me.
4. What drives me within Agro de Arend?
Working with nice cozy colleagues. Every colleague has his own task, but together we form a beautiful team. A serious company where people work hard, but where they also laugh a lot.
5. How do I spent my spare time?
Previously running, but because of an ankle injury I had to slow down. I like socializing and going regularly grab a bite or a drink with friends and family or I cook myself dinner. I love gardening and in my own garden you can find me with a good book and a glass of wine. In the sun on my own terrace.
